RELIGION & VALUES

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you safe and well. First of all, I would like to thank parents for their patience, understanding and flexibility during remote learning. I realise the sacrifice and stress parents had gone through in educating their kids at home and believe that parents are the ones who deserve the appreciation and praise this term. I want parents to know that their effort is greatly valued.

In last four weeks of this term, Foundation students have been learning about the Five Pillars of Islam and their significance for Muslims. The students had explored each Pillar of Islam in detail by doing different activities and watching various videos. They also had practised the Islamic terms like SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, MashaAllah etc. Year 1 students have learnt how Muslims can worship Allah, how to make wudu and pray. Year 2 and 3 students have been learning about the holy Quran and our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) Sunnah.

Year 4 & 5 students have been studying about the topics of ‘Practise in Islam’. They also learned the topics of respect, obedience, patience by doing various activities in class e.g. research, watching videos, role play etc. Year 6 students studied the duties and responsibilities towards the families and the teachings of the holy prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).

In this term, for Integrated studies, Year 1 students have been learning about “Distinctive features of places within our local community”. Mrs Pandher and I shared the teaching because of remote learning. Students were required to make a diorama of school space or an area around their house landscape and present it in the class. Most of the students presented their work really well. In the end, thanks to all the parents once again for ongoing contribution and support in educating the students.

Have a safe and relaxing holiday.
